Since meeting my fiancé almost 6 years ago, we always believed one of many rules in making a great, happy relationship last is to never let the magic of that first spark taper off. At least once a month, we have Date Night. It could be a night out on the town dressed to the nines or a night in watching "Family Guy" reruns over a few beers (for him) and spiked tea (for me). The only thing that rarely changes is there must be food; delicious, soul-stirring, passion-igniting food.
On this particular Date Night in July, we opted for an old haunt we haven't been back to in over a year... Stella's Fish Cafe. It's just unfortunate they have done away with the all-you-can-eat Seafood Happy Hour. All the raw oysters, ceviche and shrimp you can eat as long as you buy a drink. I used to order a giant $10 cocktail and milk it for an hour just so I can keep eating every raw oyster in sight; as fast as the shuckers could shuck without giving anyone else a bloody lip or broken nose. Or sustaining injuries of my own.
Although that Happy Hour special is no longer happening, there are still plenty of delectable seafood fare to be savored at Stella's Fish Cafe. Friday's "Oyster Orgy" Happy Hour is a must-go. I admit, I like to sneak in my own concoction of sauce to put on my raw oysters or I purchase the wondrously tasty, put-it-on-a-boot-and-I'd-eat-it, secret Togarashi sauce from Sushi Tango. That Togarashi sauce, in itself, is another delicious story.

Dinner for two.
Here's a delicious and easy ceviche recipe from my friends at San Diego Food and Wine. Perfect way to enjoy a nice, hot summer day or evening. It's all you can make; all you can eat! http://www.sandiegofoodandwine.com/?p=2650
